Pay for the Azure you use, not the Azure you forgot about

We set up Azure subscriptions through authorised channels, plan reservations and savings plans around real usage, and run regular cost reviews so the bill tracks the value.

Azure savings levers

Microsoft-published maximums; your savings depend on usage

Reservations Up to 72% vs pay-as-you-go, 1 or 3 years source
Savings plans for compute Up to 65% vs pay-as-you-go, hourly spend commitment
Azure Hybrid Benefit Reuse eligible Windows Server and SQL Server licences in Azure
Right-sizing & shutdown Often the quickest win: idle and oversized resources
SA regions South Africa North (3 zones) and South Africa West (restricted) source

Vendor list facts checked 13 October 2026. Vendors change pricing and packaging often, so your formal quotation is what counts.

FAQ

Azure licensing and cost questions

Can't see your question? Ask us directly. We reply within one business day.

Reservations or savings plans?
Reservations give the deepest discount (up to 72% versus pay-as-you-go) for a specific resource type and region you will run steadily for one or three years. Savings plans (up to 65%) commit to an hourly spend that applies flexibly across eligible compute. Many estates use both. We model your usage before you commit.
Which Azure regions are in South Africa?
South Africa North (Johannesburg) has three availability zones. South Africa West (Cape Town) is its paired region and is access-restricted, mainly for disaster recovery. Check service availability per region before designing.
What is Azure Hybrid Benefit?
If you own Windows Server or SQL Server licences with Software Assurance (or qualifying subscriptions), Azure Hybrid Benefit lets you use them in Azure and pay a lower rate. It is one of the most commonly missed savings.
Can you review our current Azure bill?
Yes. Our Azure cost review looks at idle and oversized resources, commitment coverage, Hybrid Benefit, storage tiers and tagging, and gives you a prioritised list of savings.
