GitLab CI/CD

Faster, safer releases with GitLab CI/CD

We design pipelines your developers actually like: reusable components, fast feedback, secure deployments to Azure and Kubernetes, and runners sized for your workload and budget.

What we build

Pipelines as a product, not a pile of YAML

01

Reusable CI/CD components

Shared, versioned pipeline building blocks published to your CI/CD catalog so every team starts from a secure default.

02

Merge request pipelines

Fast checks on every change, with merge trains to keep the default branch green as teams scale.

03

Secure deployments

Protected environments, approvals and OIDC federation to Azure and cloud providers, with no long-lived secrets in variables.

04

Runner fleets

Autoscaling runners on Kubernetes or virtual machines, with caching tuned to cut build time and cost.

05

Artefact flow

Build once, promote everywhere, with JFrog Artifactory or GitLab registries as the system of record.

06

Observability

Pipeline efficiency and DORA-style delivery metrics so you can show improvement over time.

How it works

A typical CI/CD engagement

  1. 1

    Assess

Review current pipelines, build times, failure rates and deployment process.

  2. 2

    Design

Target pipeline architecture, component library and runner strategy.

  3. 3

    Pilot

Implement with two or three representative teams and measure.

  4. 4

    Roll out

Migrate remaining projects in waves, with enablement for developers.

FAQ

GitLab CI/CD questions

Can't see your question? Ask us directly. We reply within one business day.

What are GitLab compute minutes?
Compute minutes measure pipeline time on GitLab-hosted runners on GitLab.com. Premium includes 10,000 and Ultimate 50,000 per month; more can be bought at US$10 per 1,000. Jobs on runners you host yourself do not consume compute minutes.
Should we host our own runners?
Often, yes, especially for heavy builds, private-network access or predictable cost. We design runner fleets on Kubernetes, Azure virtual machine scale sets or on-premises hosts, with autoscaling so you only pay for capacity you use.
Can GitLab CI/CD deploy to Azure and Kubernetes?
Yes. Typical patterns use environments with protected deployments, OpenID Connect to Azure (no stored secrets), and the GitLab agent for Kubernetes for GitOps-style delivery.
Can you convert our Jenkins pipelines?
Yes. We inventory your Jenkins jobs and shared libraries, map them to GitLab CI/CD components, and migrate in waves so delivery never stops. See GitLab migration.
