What package formats does Artifactory support?

Artifactory supports a wide range of formats including Maven, Gradle, npm, Yarn, PyPI, NuGet, Docker and OCI images, Helm, Go, Conan, RubyGems, Debian and RPM, Terraform and generic files. Check JFrog documentation for the full current list.

Why not just pull from public registries?

Public registries go down, rate-limit, and occasionally serve malicious or yanked packages. Proxying through Artifactory gives you a reliable cache, an audit trail of exactly what was used, and a single place to apply security policy.

Can Artifactory replace our Docker registry?

Yes. Artifactory works as a Docker/OCI registry with local, remote and virtual repositories, so teams use one endpoint for internal and proxied images.

Is there a free version?
